Ayahuasca Ceremony Phoenix AZ

March 9th and 10th, 2018

Brilliant Greetings Tribe of Light!!!

We hope this communication finds you well and joyful. This is general information about our ceremonies. If you would like to be notified of upcoming ceremonies please email us and we will add you to the notification list. We will generally be holding Ceremony in Phoenix for two nights once a month.

A ceremony is to cleanse and heal ourselves of the past and set our intentions and visions for the future. We are planting seeds of the beautiful flowers of Love, Peace, Joy and vibrant health. Our ceremonies are based on the Peruvian style indoors, in a darkened room with icaros/medicine songs. Each night after ceremony we break the fast with fruit and delicious soup. You are invited to attend either or both nights but we highly suggest both nights as it more than doubles the benefit. When considering two nights, the first night is usually a more cleansing and aligning process. The second night builds on the first taking you much deeper into your journey with even more profound experiences and effects.

After reading through this information, if you would like to participate, please email us saying which nights you would like to attend and ask any questions to get further details. Address is below. Please go through this information again before joining us as there is a lot of good stuff here and it is all provided to enhance your experience. If you have not joined us previously there is a “Get to know you” info section at the bottom. We ask that you fill it out before attending so we can serve you to the best of our ability. We look forward to sharing sacred space and joy with you. Until then “May the Light of a Thousand Suns fill your Soul”…

While preparing for the Ceremony, it is recommended to cut anything out of your life that you may feel is not in line with your highest truth and potential. In order for the Medicine to do her work to the greatest of her ability, it is important to do a cleansing of your body, physically and energetically. By eliminating certain foods from your diet and actions from your daily routines, what you’re doing is creating a space in which you can receive as deep and full benefit as possible. Following the diet not only opens your body to receive, but also can go a long way in demonstrating respect to these plant spirits.

The spirit of the Madre is very sacred and deserving of ultimate respect. She can intensely heal and transform you, but adequate preparation makes for the best experience. Your intentions for ceremony are a vital part of your interaction with the medicine. Make sure you have one or two (or even three) very clear intentions regarding this ceremony weekend and why you are present. They can be profound soul questions or insight about healing anything in your life or relationships or just about anything you care deeply about. Being open to receiving the Madre’s gifts and surrendering to her teachings will enable you to receive the fullness of her love and transformative power. Reviewing this information several times before ceremony will aid you greatly. Yes the diet takes effort and focus however what you get in return is directly related to what you put into it so go for it as best as you can. It is definitely well worth the effort.

Avoid one week before Ceremony:

– Fried foods or excessive oil
– Spicy foods

– Fermented food
– Excess Caffeine
– Processed/Fast foods
– Overripe fruits and avocados
– Liquid and Powdered protein extracts
– Dairy products
– Sugar & sweets
– Most Salt & salty foods
– Pork and most red meat

– Alcohol
– Marijuana
– Mind altering substances

–Intense bursts of unwanted energy (violent movies, dramatic interactions etc.)

It is also recommended to avoid sexual contact for at least a week before and after Ceremony (solo or with a partner). During the weekend the medicine will open us up energetically allowing for the sharing of Madre’s many gifts. When opening ourselves up in such a way, it is important to keep our energies to ourselves as to maintain the integrity and momentum of our personal journey. This diet helps us to remain focused on our own internal process and inner journey, giving us the space we need to work on ourselves. Consuming fresh vegetables, fruit juices and any fasting you do, will also help to clear out toxins from your body. The less toxins you have in you, the better your experience will be (less purging).

3 days before the Ceremony: It is said that these foods listed below can influence your
experience. Please avoid these.

  • Soybeans and soybean products and blue cheese are actually considered dangerous by some, if consumed on the same day as the ceremony. All aged/mature cheeses (exception: cottage cheese and cream cheese), fermented foods, pickled herring and salted dried fish, soybeans and soybean products such as soy sauce, meat extracts, yeast extracts, Brewer’s yeast, sauerkraut, chocolate and peanuts.

Ceremony Day: On the day of the meditation, eat a regular-sized breakfast and a “light”
lunch. You should not eat anything after 2p.m. (liquids are ok, water best), but if you find yourself
becoming weak you can eat a small snack such as bread or fruit.

What to Bring
***Please read carefully 2 or 3 times ***

Make yourself comfortable; bring blankets and extra layers as your body and the ceremony room will appear to change temperatures throughout the night. Yoga or exercise mats, a pillow, and back jacks help with sitting up on the floor for several hours. Bring whatever other sleeping gear you will need for after ceremony naps. During ceremony your space will be about 2.5′ by 4′. We will be sitting up or leaning back against the wall, side by side during the ceremony. Bringing a large pillow or two and a small blanket makes it nice. Also those round yoga buckwheat filled cushions are fantastic. That is what I sit on. To ensure the best experience for everybody please bring NON-noisy/”quiet gear” (avoid squeaky camping mattresses, loud air mattresses not allowed, etc.). Sound has a HUGE effect on everyone during our meditation. Please “test drive” your ceremony gear for silent operation before you arrive.

Please wear comfortable, layered clothes. Light colors suggested or even better, white clothing/shirt if you can. The space will appear to change temperature as your body moves through the process. We also suggest bringing a scarf or hooded garment to cover your head. Eye masks are often helpful (or any soft eye cover).

We break our fast with a soup and fruit in the morning to help ground us before we take a rest. It is also appreciated if you can bring food to share, but only items that are acceptable with the diet, please. We recommend bringing extra water and a QUIET water bottle.

AYNI [energetic exchange]: As a reciprocal exchange we request a donation of $175 for one night or $300 for both nights. In order to reserve your spot for the ceremony a 51% deposit is required for each night as our space is limited and we prefer to work with solid counts of committed participants called to this work. Please make contribution via check, PayPal or directly with us. We will send you the link after seeing your info to make sure you are all good to go. Feel free to communicate any special requests or needs. For the remainder of your donation, please complete in cash before ceremony. Thank you so much!

Medications and Health Conditions

We ask that all guests be free of pharmaceutical intervention for 2 or 3 weeks prior to ceremony. Consult with your doctor if you need to stop taking any medications, especially anti-depressants (most antidepressants can have adverse reactions when mixed with the Medicine). They normally should be stopped 4-5 weeks before the ceremony and the facilitator absolutely needs to discuss this with you before you stop any antidepressant. Some antidepressants need to be tapered slowly under medical supervision to avoid serious reactions and antidepressants vary in how long they should be stopped before the ceremony, depending on their half life. St. John’s Wort is an over the counter antidepressant that needs to be stopped before the ceremony as well. If you are on medication please contact us as we will need to assess your individual situation before we can safely allow you to sit with the medicine. We want to make sure this is a safe experience for everyone. Check here for detailed medication info http://forums.ayahuasca.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14761

Other health conditions to contact us about are:

Psychological conditions such as Schizophrenia, bipolar and psychosis
Heart conditions
Liver and Kidney conditions
Serious weight issues

Many other drugs including nose drops, decongestants, amphetamines, ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, diet pills, allergy medicines and opiates (narcotics including dextromethorphan found in cough syrups) can have serious drug interactions with the Medicine. Migraine medications such as sumatriptan (Imitrex) are a problem as are natural herbs like ephedra and yohimbe. All of the medicines should be stopped at least a week before the Ceremony.

Our meditations are private so we ask for you to please not disclose any of the names, locations, and events that take place to anyone outside of our circle. This helps keep everything safe and secure so we can continue to have our beautiful events.
